Martha "Marty" A. Schmidt

Martha A. Schmidt, 87, of Plattsburgh, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2025 at the Meadowbrook Healthcare. She was born on November 8th, 1938 , the daughter of Francis Duffy and Myrtle (Rawson) Duffy.

She is survived by her children, Debbie Forbes and her husband Victor, Cathy LeBlanc-Fritz and husband Jim, Lori Gorman and husband Barry, Sue LeBlanc-Durocher and husband Greg; and stepson Michael Schmidt and his wife Toni; grandchildren, Joshua, Brent, Brandon, Christopher, Matthew, Linda, Paul, Jonathan, Mallory, Carson, Andrea, Adam and Ryan; great grandchildren, Evan, Camden and Liam; siblings, Linda Schointuch and Robert Duffy; and childhood friends Sally Connors and Donna Corodimas.

She is predeceased by her husband Earl, grandson Ian Yando and her sister Virginia Jubert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John the Baptist. Interment will be at St. Peter's Cemetery in the Spring.
