Michael Robert Ireland

Michael Robert Ireland passed away on Sunday June 22 at his mothers home with his loving family by his side and wrapped in the blanket from his good friends. Mike was born on December 10, 1956 to Donald and Mary Margaret Ireland in Rochester NY. He graduated high school from Mount Assumption and continued his education at Paul Smiths College and Plattsburgh State earning a business management degree. At the time of his death he was working as a Network Support Engineer for GovCIO.

He had great love for his family and his good friends who filled his life with happiness and joy. Mike loved to spend time skiing Whiteface Mountain with the Pump House gang, golfing, and boating. His life was full of adventures and travel. However, he was also known so fondly to be stubborn and cantankerous in the funniest of ways. He connected with young people like no other, and made them all feel a special bond with him through his humor and wit, especially his nieces and nephews.

Mike is survived by his mother Mary Margaret Ireland, his brother Tom and Barbara Ireland, Mary Lee Ireland, Matt and Meg Tolosky and John Ireland. Nieces and Nephews include Michael and Arin Ryan, Matt and Julie Ryan, Caitlin and Tyler Finney, Joe and Kerry Tolosky, Jack Tolosky, and Sean and Becca Ireland, and the many grand nieces and nephews who he adored.

He was predeceased by his father, Donald Ireland (2013) his brother David Ireland (2023) and his niece Margaret Mary Tolosky (1999).

Funeral arrangements are entrusted with Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, NY.

Funeral will be at St. Johns Church on Saturday June 28 at 10:00 AM. Reception to follow in the church gathering room.

Pall bearers will be nephews Michael Ryan, Matt Ryan, Sean Ireland, Joe Tolosky, Jack Tolosky.
