Michael "Mike" J. Fuller

July 30, 1962 — July 8, 2025

West Chazy

Michael “Mike” J. Fuller, 62, of West Chazy, peacefully passed away on July 7, 2025. Mike was born in Tupper Lake on July 30, 1962, to Michael E. Fuller and Colette G. Fuller (née DesOrmeaux). Mike rocketed into this world, and from early on until well into adulthood, he was a daredevil; driving fast cars and snow mobiles, racing motorcross, and flying across Lake Champlain on his bass boat and jet ski. His life on the edge sometimes tested his mortality, and those you knew him marveled at his ability to persevere. Somewhat prophetically, Mike recently described himself as a cat on his ninth life.

Mike was strong, principled, proud, and above all, deeply loyal to his family and friends. He was a physical force who back in the day humbled many who challenged him; but, who was always present to lend a helping hand when needed. While often pensive and quiet, Mike also inherited his father’s gift for story-telling, and his animated and infectious way of hilariously spinning history was Netflix-level.

For more than thirty years, Mike owned and operated Fuller’s Taping and Painting. He was a methodical perfectionist who had no shortcuts, and countless businesses and homes throughout the North Country exhibit his handiwork.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Colette, and he is survived by his only child and love of his life, Katelyn Colette Fuller. He is also survived by his big sister, Chris F. Anderson (née Fuller), and his little sister, Marlene A. Sarbou (née Fuller), both with whom Mike had the tightest of sibling bonds. Mike is also survived by a large extended family of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews – all of whom are better for having Mike in their lives.

Mike’s calling hours are on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Brown’s Funeral Home, 29 Broad Street, Plattsburgh, after which a prayer service will follow at 4:00 pm. Thereafter, all are welcome to gather to celebrate Mike’s life at the American Legion Post 1619, 219 Rand Hill Road, Morrisonville.
