Michael Rocco Moccio, 78, of Plattsburgh, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026 at CVPH Medical Center In Plattsburgh. He was born on August 30th, 1947, the son of Anthony Moccio and Anna.
He was very athletic in High School playing Football, Basketball & Baseball. He even tried out for the New York Mets. He was an avid Poker Player and sports enthusiast.
He is survived by his spouse Gloria, and his Children, Mark, Meghan and Shawn of NJ and his Sister, Donna and Brother-in law, Mario of Delaware.
Visitation will be held on Sunday March 8th 2PM to 5PM at Brown Funeral Home.
He was a Vietnam Era Veteran. He proudly served in the US Air Force from 1967-1970 and was stationed at the Plattsburgh Air Force Base.
He was trained as an aircraft mechanic on the B-52's and aerial refueling with the KC-135 Stratotanker. His overseas deployment was in Thailand.
He worked at the USPS Bulk Mail Center in South Kearny NJ.
He came to settle back in Plattsburgh for the last 20 years. He always made new friends wherever he lived and made people laugh with his sense of humor.
