Michael F. Roth Jr.

Michael F. Roth, 74, of Cadyville, NY, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026 at his home with his family by his side under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Peekskill, NY on April 2, 1952, the son of Michael and Dorthea (Kurtz) Roth.

Michael graduated from John F. Kennedy Catholic High School in Somers, NY and then Iona University in New Rochelle, NY. He enlisted in the United States Army serving his country in Vietnam. Michael was a police officer with the Putnam Valley Police Department and later the Cortlandt Police Department. After retiring he moved his family north to Saranac, NY.

He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Joanne and a granddaughter Sophia.

Michael is survived by his children; Michael (Tracy) Roth of Morrisonville and Alexis (Cory) Parrotte of Saranac, five grandchildren; Wyatt, Madison, Will, Cameron and Kallie, his beloved dog Itsy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday October 2, 2026 at 11:30 am at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Michael's family wishes to thank North Country Home Services, Hospice of the North Country and Lisa, Nora and Kelly who were able allow him to stay in his home.
