Mildred M Hayes (Wood)

Mildred M. Hayes, 85, of Plattsburgh, passed away on May 8, 2018, with her loving family by her side, at the UVM-CVPH Medical Center. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY, January 8, 1933, the daughter of Victor and Alice (Stone) Wood. She was a faithful catholic. Mildred was an excellent cook and baker, providing meals to all her family. In her spare time she often could be found playing cards, especially rummy with her friends and family. She loved the color pink and listening to Elvis. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, Daniel Hayes Sr., her grandson Daniel Hayes III, her siblings; Joyce, Ceil, Andy, Leander, Donald, Harold, and Mike. She is survived by her children; Jean Geer and her companion Tim, Doris Bilsky and her husband Brad, Daniel Hayes, Jr. and his wife Cheryl, Joan Renadette and her husband Keith, Kathy Mousseau and her husband Bruce, Karen Hendrie and her husband Jim, her 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, her sisters; Agnes and Theresa, her sister-in-law Rita, and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Friday, May 11, 2018 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Brown Funeral Home, Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 9:00 am at St. Peter's Church. Burial will follow in the St. Alexander's Cemetery.
