Nabih I Dergham

"The road to success is not easy to navigate, but with hard work, drive and passion, it's possible to achieve the American Dream" Born on March 28, 1933 to Ibrahim and Yazda Dergham in Beirut, Lebanon. Nabih departed on May 12, 2015 to be reunited with his parents Ibrahim and Yazda, his wife Bahia, his brother Nayef and Wajih and his sisters Leila, Mahmoudi, Bahia and Saada. His brother Nazih Dergham lives in Beirut, Lebanon. At the time of his passing, Nabih was surrounded by his family and his two best friends Sharron Morse and Bev Robinson. Nabih leaves behind his children, Raghida Dergham, Ibrahim (Bobby) Dergham, Nahida Durham, Nadim Dergham, Ghada Dergham and Rhonda Dergham. His legacy continues with his grandchildren, Oulli Durham, Zeina Stone, Mila Curry, Layal Dergham, Cameron Dergham, Thalia Dergham, Cayla Birkestrand, Rhea Breyette, Coby Dergham, Julian Breyette, Yasmene Dergham and one great granddaughter Sasha Stone. Leaving Beirut in 1975, Nabih and Bahia, along with their children immigrated to the United States and settled in Plattsburgh, NY. At the age of 45, Nabih and Bahia had to learn English and along with their children worked on rebuilding the life they knew in Lebanon. Through hard work and absolute resolve, low and behold, success followed. Nabih became a very successful businessman as owner of C&C; DND hair salons and Zeina's Salon and Spa and Nabih's Real Estate Inc. in Plattsburgh. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, Cumberland Ave., Plattsburgh, the American Druze Society and Clinton County Sheriff's Association. Nabih was an avid boater who loved cooking for family and friends on his boat either at the docks at Snug Harbor or as he cruised on Lake Champlain. Calling hours will be held Friday, May 15, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh, NY. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Whispering Maples Mausoleum on the Tom Miller Road, Plattsburgh, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country or Fitzpatrick Cancer Center in Plattsburgh, NY. Services will also be held in Bakifa, Lebanon on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and in Beirut at Dar el Tayfeh on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Arrangements were entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St, Plattsburgh, NY 12901.
