Nancy L. Guynup, 79, of Plattsburgh, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026 at the UVHN:CVPH Medical Center. She was born on August 15th, 1946 in Plattsburgh , the daughter of Richard Lawliss and Marjorie (Senecal) Lawliss. Nancy was a people person and made new friends wherever she went. The family could leave her for a few minutes and when they returned Nancy would have a new friend. She never met a stranger.
During her lifetime, Nancy lived in New York, California, Oklahoma, Texas and Tennessee but her home and family were always Plattsburgh. She enjoyed traveling and was always ready to go and visit family somewhere in the U.S.
Nancy is survived by two sons-Michael Hoover, Plattsburgh; Richard Filion, Tulsa, OK.; and one daughter Marjorie Hendrie, Ausable Forks, NY and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Marjorie and sisters Elaine Caron and Mary Lawliss.
