Phyllis J. Rivers, 89, of Cadyville, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at her home. She was born June 13th, 1936, in Lyon Mountain the daughter of Royden Kline and Constance Kline. What brought Phyllis the most joy was spending time with her family, especially around the Christmas Holidays. She always looked forward to a house full of her children, grandchildren and great-grand children and always cooked enough to feed twice the number of people present. She found great peace tending to her yard and flower beds, which were admired by all. On any summer day she could be found weeding her gardens and chasing wood chucks out of her flowers. One in particular, “Fat Boy” was her main nemesis.

She is survived by her daughter Deborah Ulin and her husband David Ulin of Ashland MA, her son Keith Rivers and his wife Denise Rivers of Copenhagen NY, son-in-laws Bruce Germain of Peru, NY and Will Dibble of Pennellville, NY. Grandchildren Ashley and her Husband Mark Yanulavich, Taylor Germain, Mike Smart, Nichole Mussen and her husband Mike Mussen Jr., Kirsten Ulin, Jared and his wife Heidi Caslin, Colby Rivers, Kasey and his wife Amy Rivers. She is also survived by her 6 great grandchildren, as well as by her sister Brenda Cook of Chateauguy NY.

She is predeceased by her husband Gary Rivers Sr., her son Gary Rivers Jr. of Pennellville, NY, and her daughter Donna Germain of Peru NY.

A Graveside Service will take place on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at West Plattsburgh Union Cemetery.
