Rachel P Bedard

Rachel P. Bedard, 84, of Moffitt Road, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born in Chazy, NY on March 21, 1932, the daughter of the late Wilfred and Minnie (Guay) Poirier. Rachel played the violin, and enjoyed reading, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children and their spouses; Dominic Bedard of Plattsburgh, Mark (Victoria) Bedard of Plattsburgh, Mona (Thomas) Shipman of Prescott, WI., Cabrina (Orval) Fifield of Winston-Salem, NC., Cynthia Bedard of Rexford, NY., Rebecca (Paul) Montesano of Rexford, NY., Sonya (Gary) Lambert of Plattsburgh, Jason Bedard of Plattsburgh, Amy Bedard of Plattsburgh, her grandchildren; Joshua Shipman, Laura Shipman, Ryan Fifield, Joseph, Allison and Zachary Bedard, Julia and John Montesano, Benjamin and Nathaniel Lambert, a great grandson; Samuel Dallmann and a sister Suzanne (Donald) Tetreault of Champlain, NY and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred Bedard on April 2, 2016, a son Jerome Bedard and a sister Joanne Tetreault. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 5:00pm to 7:30 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 17, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Peter's Church. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
