Cadyville

Ralph Peter (Pete) Morgan, 93, of Cadyville, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025. He was born on May 6th, 1932, the son of Mildred Morgan and stepfather John Caska. He is survived by his wife Barbara (LaMora) Morgan and his four daughters; Kim Uhler, Sheila (Jay) Miner, Dawn (Russell Guay) Revette, and Elizabeth (Joel) Revette; his four grandchildren Gwen Pietrantuono (husband Matthew Pietrantuono), Ryan Revette (wife Leyla Revette), Darren Revette and Lydia Miner (fiancé Logan Williams); as well as his great grandchildren Luca Pietrantuono, Giovanni Pietrantuono and Dulcinea Revette. Pete was predeceased by his mother, stepfather, sister Shirley and her husband John Sullivan

He served in the Navy during the Korean War after graduating from St. Johns Academy and returned to Plattsburgh where he retired from New York State Electric & Gas. He worked as an independent electrician adjacent to his employment with NYSEG. In his free time, he followed the Plattsburgh State Cardinal Hockey Team and was a loyal member of the booster club. He enjoyed time with family and was always there to lend a helping hand. He was never one to sit still, always in his workshop, out on the golf course, at the ice rink, or attending local concerts. He will be remembered for his razor wit and inventive mind.

In accordance with Pete’s wishes, there will be no public services.

Poem in his honor by Ryan Revette:

A man lies in bed beneath the roof of a small farmhouse. He lies beside his wife, a nurse, and a gardener. He lies in a bed above the floor that makes a ceiling for the basement. In the basement are his tools, hammers, saws, drills, and ruler. All the things he used to build his house. He lays in bed thinking about his past; all the days spent in the metal ships and airplanes, pulling targets for someone else's war. Next, he thinks about the present; his job at gas and electric, his four daughters sleeping close by, and his wife. He is happy in this house on the farm, with his wife sleeping next to him. Finally, he wonders about his future. He is hopeful for what is to come, for nothing can take his house or his kids or his wife lying next to him. He is content with his being and falls asleep. He is the last of his kind, a true gentleman and father. Never shall a man walk the earth quite as tall.
