Raymond G "Pops" Barber

Raymond “Pops” G. Barber, 74, of True Brook Road, Saranac, NY, passed away on Friday February 8, 2019 at his home with his family by his side under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Chazy Lake, NY on August 24, 1944 the son of Antonie and Dora (King) Barber.
Raymond served in the United States Navy Sea Bees during the Vietnam War. He married Agnes LaFountain in January 29, 1970. Raymond was a professional diesel mechanic and jack of trades. He had a great love of animals especially his dogs Banjo and Gizmo.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, spending time with his family and being outdoors.
Raymond was predeceased by his parents, a brother Junior Barber and a granddaughter Kirsten Nolan.
He is survived by his wife Agnes, their children; Karen, Brad and Tim, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews also survive him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
