Richard H. “Dick” Reome, Sr. 84, of the Irish Settlement Road passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020 at his home. He was born in Beekmantown on October 19, 1935 the son of Edward “Pete” and Audrey (Larabee) Reome.
Dick was a veteran of the Korean Conflict proudly serving in the U. S. Marine Corps. He established Dick’s Customizing Shop and owned and operated it until his retirement. In his retirement, Dick was an automotive claims adjuster and was well known in the automotive industry. Dick served on the Town Council of Schuyler Falls and later served as Town Justice. He enjoyed yardwork, flower gardening and spending time with family and friends. Dick was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Plattsburgh Lodge 621, the New York State Magistrates Association, Free and Accepted Masons, The Oriental Shriners and he was a member of St. Peter’s Church
Dick was predeceased by his parents, a brother Olen Reome, a sister Katherine Patten and his son-in-law Brad Perrotte.
He is survived by his wife of sixty seven years Shirley (Spooner) Reome, his children; Richard “Rick” (Lois) Reome, Jr., Nancy (Bill) Price, Tammy (Dale) Sears, Vicki (Jerry) Marking, fourteen grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
Committal prayers and full military honors will be at the Plattsburgh Community Mausoleum.
