Rick Lucia

Rick Lucia, 66, of Plattsburgh, NY and Naples, FL passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the University of Vermont Medical Center, Burlington, VT with his loving family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh on April 5, 1950 the son of Francis "Frank" and Violet (St. Dennis) Lucia. Rick retired from Imperial Wallcoverings. He enjoyed camping, traveling, antiquing, shuffle board, playing cards, designing floral arrangements, and Dunkin Donuts coffee. The highlight of Rick's life was sharing time and laughs with family and friends. Rick was predeceased by his parents Frank and Vie Lucia and his in-laws Walter and Shirley Light. He is survived by his wife and best friend of forty five years Patricia "Pat" (Light) Lucia of Plattsburgh and Naples, his children; Paul Lucia of Minneapolis, MN, Seth Lucia (Rose) of Minneapolis, MN, Danielle Lucia and her fiancé Jon Maka'ike of Volcano, HI, a sister Paulette Gregory (Gary) of Plattsburgh, 6 grandchildren; Gregory, Linda, Marissa, Marcus, Xavier, Kaimana, two great granddaughters; Brooklyn and Arabella, three sisters-in-law Linda Williams (Douglas) of Latham, Mel Light (Mary Mahan) of Naples, Michele Light of Dannemora, two brothers-in-law, Walter Peter Light (Patricia) of Dannemora, Michael Light (Loraine) of Lisbon, a dear cousin Marlene Reil (Lyman) of Plattsburgh, his extended family Gordon, Sarah, Cooper and Samantha Davis of Plattsburgh, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Rick succumbed to complications having battled years of rheumatoid arthritis. Calling hours will be Saturday, August 20, 2016 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St. Plattsburgh, NY. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in St. Peter's cemetery at a later date.
