Ricky M Farrell

Mr. Ricky M. Farrell, 45, of Rand Hill Road, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. He was born in Plattsburgh on December 8, 1969, the son of John and Shirley (Brooks) Farrell. Ricky was employed by the N.Y.S. Dept. of Corrections for over 21 years and was currently a Sergeant at Clinton Correctional Facility. He was a member of the Siberian Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed hiking, hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He is survived by his companion Bobbie Jo Staley, his children; Justin Farrell of Florida, Ashlyn Farrell of Schuyler Falls, Kayla Farrell of Norwich, N.Y., and his son to be born in March , Greyson Michael Farrell, his companions children whom he thought of as his own; Keenan Clancy, Paiden Staley, Kenley and Kaleb Staley, his mother Shirley Brooks of Zephyrhills, Fl., his siblings ; Cyndi Farrell-Davis and her husband Jon of Naugatuck, Ct., John Farrell Jr. of Plattsburgh, Teena Farrell of South Carolina., Todd Farrell and fiancée Dawn Ball of Dannemora, and several nieces ,nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father John Farrell in 2014 and a nephew John Mihalcik. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Graveside services will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 11:00am at the Church of the Assumption Cemetery in Redford. A reception will follow at American Post 1618 in Redford.
