Robert “Bob” Carusone-2/15/1947-10/2/2026

Robert “Bob” Carusone, age 79, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by the love of his family on October 2nd, 2026. Bob was a longtime resident of the North Country, relocating to Plattsburgh in 1996 for employment.
Bob was the son of the late Salvatore Carusone and Jennie Carlino Carusone. He was a graduate of Schalmont High School and later graduated from SUNY Cobleskill.

Bob began his career with General Electric in Schenectady before moving to the North Country, where he worked for Wyeth/Pfizer Pharmaceuticals in Chazy, New York. He retired in 2008.

On September 23, 2000, Bob married Susan Malkiewicz in Mooers, New York. Together they shared many wonderful years and created a life filled with family, friendship, and memories.

Bob was a devout follower of Jesus Christ, and his faith was an important part of his life.
Bob especially loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed hiking and fishing throughout the Adirondacks, often sharing those adventures with his sons, grandsons, and nephews. He also treasured the many summer vacations spent in Maine, where he enjoyed moose watching and making special memories with family and friends.

Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, neighbor, and friend. He will be remembered for the love he had for his family, his faith, his appreciation of the outdoors, his adventures in the Adirondacks and Maine, and the many memories he made with those closest to him.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Susan; his sons, Robert Carusone and his wife, Christine, Daniel Carusone and his wife, Ildiko Bodor; his grandsons, Jacob and Luke; his stepson, Brian Mally, and significant other Katelyn Derusha; his brother, Richard Carusone and his wife, Shana; his special nephew, R.J. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Bob’s caregiver, Kelsey Tetreault, for her loving care and compassion throughout this journey. Special thanks are also extended to all the Hospice nurses who provided Bob with such wonderful care and comfort.
