Morrisonville Roger Russell Everleth, 90, of Mason Street, Morrisonville, NY, was reunited with his beloved wife Genevieve on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at UVHN/CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh with his family by his side. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY on July 26, 1926 the son of Aaron and Mable (Terry) Everleth. Roger graduated from Plattsburgh High School in June 1944. He enlisted in the U. S. Army and fought in WWII. He worked at Georgia Pacific and drove truck for Texaco where he was a member of the Million Mile Club retiring in 1979 here in Plattsburgh. Roger returned to work for Morrow Fuel and then Noco until his second retirement. Roger was the oldest living member of the American Legion Post #1619 having been a member for 71 years. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Alexander's Church. He married the love of his life Genevieve Luck at St. Alexander's Church on July 26, 1948. They were inseparable for 68 years. Roger also loved to watch his children and grandchildren play sports and he was very proud of all of them. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Indole Golf Club where he was club champion many times. Roger was very proud of the many holes in ones he had. Roger was predeceased by his parents, his wife Genevieve, seven brothers; Ernest, Bill, Raymond, Woodrow, Merle, Robert and Claude. He is survived by two sons; Timothy (Jamie) Everleth of Morrisonville, Mark Everleth and his companion Jill Renadette of Cadyville, two daughters; Deborah (Thomas) Gale of Plattsburgh and Mary (William) King of Saranac, six grandchildren; Thomas Gale II and his companion Elizabeth Terry, Marcie (James)Reardon, Krystle (Matthew) Drollette, Alyssa King and her fiance Jerrod Wilson, Dylan Everleth and Brennan Everleth and his girlfriend Nicole, three great grandchildren; Hartlyn and Addie Reardon and Jackson Drollette, his brother Leon (Judy) Everleth, two sisters-in-law Agnes Everleth and Francine Luck, several nieces and nephews also survive him. At Roger's request, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Alexander's Church in Morrisonville. Burial with military honors will follow in the parish cemetery. Donations in Roger's memory may be made to the Fitzpatrick Cancer Center.
