Dannemora Roger G. Taft, 69, of Dannemora, passed away Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at his home with his loving family by his side, under the care of Hospice of the North Country. He was born in Plattsburgh, on May 18, 1948, the son of the late Orville and Grace (Baker) Taft. He was united in marriage to Brenda Curran on October 27, 1972. He worked for the Department of Corrections and retired after 30 years of service. He was an avid artist and had a great love for his family, the outdoors, and his precious grandchildren who always put a smile on his face and joy in his life. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Susan Taft and father-in-law Edward Curran. He is survived by his wife, Brenda, his children; Kenneth Mosher, of Canton, NY, Krista Tousignant and her husband Stephen, of Dannemora, Beverly Taft of Northfield, VT, grandchildren; Ashley (Gordon) McCray of Brushton, NY, Blake Mosher of Syracuse, NY, Andrea Mosher of Moira, NY, Emily and Mikayla Taylor of Dannemora, NY, his sister, Ruth Gray, his mother-in-law June Curran of Brushton, NY, his brothers and sisters in law; Craig Curran, Cynthia Debeer, Rene Curran, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. There will be no public calling hours. Services will be private for the family. The family would like to thank Hospice of the North Country for their compassionate care.
