Roger J. Whitney

Plattsburgh – Roger J. Whitney, 67, of Plattsburgh, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2026, at Meadowbrook. He was born on September 28, 1958, the son of Arthur and Dorothy Whitney.

Roger loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, fishing, scratching lottery tickets, and visiting his brother’s home. He enjoyed making and playing music with his band. Roger was a smart and respectful man who will be deeply missed. He was family-oriented and cherished every moment spent with friends and loved ones.

He is survived by his children: James, Arthur, Chad, Brandy (Terry), and Becca. He is also survived by his siblings: William, Allen (Linda), Dorothy VanHeuverzwyn (Theodore), and Kevin. Roger leaves behind many beloved grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his close friends, Sally Baker and Joe Clukey, his brothers-in-law Paul and Stephen Harrison, and his sister-in-law Patricia Harrison.
