Ronald A Howard, of Sarasota, Florida, died on February 26th, as a patient in the Intensive Care Unit at Sarasota Memorial Hospital when the Lord needed him and his heart in heaven. He was born on October 27th,1947 in Plattsburgh, NY the son of Albert and Beatrice (LaBier) Howard. On June 27th, 1992 he married Victoria Bradley (Mousseau). Together they shared life with love, fun and laughter. His joy for life was displayed through community service such as Kiwanis Noon Club (Kiwanian of the Year), Elks Club, Usher at St. Peter’s Church, as well as their travels, especially on his motorcycle and in their RV. Ron’s greatest joy, after being Grandpa Ron (which he relished) and Uncle Ron (which he adored), was being a School Bus Driver which he retired from, but continued to work occasionally in various positions at Beekmantown Central School. He loved “the kids”.
Besides his wife, Ron is survived by his step-son Jason Bradley (Becky) and his children Harley, Lara Homicz (Tyler), Chloe McCarroll (Alixander), Lilly, and Nash; his step-daughter Kristi (Bradley) Mahoney (Jon) and their children Ella, Joshua, and KJ; his Aunt Vivian LaBier (Moffett Rd) and Uncle Leeward LaBier (Malone NY); his brothers-in-law Nick Mousseau (Deb), Walt Mousseau (Kerry), Matt Mousseau (Christine), Michael Mousseau (Demet); his sisters-in-law Penny (Mousseau) Green (Loy), Wendy Howard; multiple nieces, nephews (whom he so enjoyed), and cousins (many of which he shared his early years with); his many friends.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his brother Arnold Howard; his maternal grandparents Homer & Della LaBier; his Harold Labier; his multiple Uncles, Aunts and cousins;
he is also predeceased by his parents-in-law Victor and Minerva Mousseau.
Services will be on May 22 at 1:30pm at St. Peter’s Church, Plattsburgh, NY.
