Obituary of Ronald G. Martineau, Jr. (MARTINEAU) Ronald G. Martineau, Jr., age 68 of Plattsburgh, NY, passed away on October 20, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was affectionately loved and known as “DeeDee” by his friends and family. He was born on April 12, 1957 in Plattsburgh, NY to Ronald (Ronnie) and Beverly (Betty) Martineau. DeeDee had a passion for hunting and fishing. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. As a very mechanically inclined person, DeeDee would always be tinkering with something or fixing things which were broken. DeeDee cherished spending quiet time at home with his wife, Cindy and his dog, Buster. DeeDee had a huge heart and never missed an opportunity to help the people he loved. He was loved by all who knew him.

DeeDee was predeceased by his father, Ronald Martineau, Sr., father-in-law, William Duval, mother-in-law, Doris Duval, along with many other cherished and loved extended family members.

DeeDee is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years (52 total years together), Cynthia “Cindy” Martineau, his mother, Beverly “Betty” Martineau, his sister, Rebecca and Patrick (Chip) Marsico, his sister, Robin Wright, as well as several beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held for DeeDee at a date, time and location to be announced.
