Rosalie Tetreault (Guay) of Champlain, New York, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026, at CVPH Hospital, surrounded by her family.
Born on October 7, 1940, in Champlain to Emile and Helene Guay, Rosalie grew up in the town she would call home all her life. She married Felix Tetreault, her husband of 64 years, and together they raised their family in the house on Leggett Road, where she lived for the last 58 years.
A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Rosalie was known for her lively presence and care for those around her. She loved to cook, and her kitchen table was where her family and friends naturally gathered. Farming was her life's work, both as a child and into adulthood with her husband. She tended her yard with care, looked forward to summer parties with her extended family, and would never turn down a game of cards.
Rosalie is survived by her husband, Felix; her four daughters, Laura, Jeannine (David Kerr), Lisa (Norman Garceau), and Monique (Brian Halavonich); her grandchildren, Emily, Dominique, and Carli; and her great-grandchildren, Eva and Celeste. She is also survived by her siblings: Vincent (Kathy Guay), Cecile Hanfield, Veronica Belleville, Marielle Miller, and Julie (John Courtney).
Calling hours will be held on May 4, 2026, at 10 am, at St. Patrick's Church, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., at St. Patrick's Church, 138 Lake Street, Rouses Point, New York.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
