Samuel J Coon Sr

Black Brook Mr. Samuel J. Coon, Sr., 79, of Ore Bed Road in Black Brook, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH in Plattsburgh with family by his side. He was born in Beekmantown on November 5, 1935, the son of the late Samuel N. and Emma (Chamberlain) Coon. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maude (Fournier) Coon, his children and their spouses; Randy and Vicky Darrah, David and Laurie Darrah, Brenda and John Rock, Samuel and Marie Coon Jr., Janet and John Dame, a sister and brother in law; Betty and Bart Stein, 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a sister Theresa Martineau In accordance with Samuel's wishes, there will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Church of the Assumption in Redford. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
