Sharon Sue Bandhold

Sharon S. Bandhold, 70, of Morrisonville, NY passed away February 12, 2026 at UVM-CVPH Medical Center.

Sharon received her Master's degree in library science and had a thesis published. She enjoyed hiking and traveling. Fluent in German, she spent a summer enjoying her sponsor family in Europe. She was also a member of Toastmasters International as well as Sweet Adelines International.

For employment, Sharon worked at several libraries including Clinton Correctional Library, CVPH Library, Clinton Community College Library, and the majority of her time was at Plattsburgh Public Library.

Sharon is survived by her sister Lorraine A. Barten, nephew Paul R. Freebern, cousins Sheila Clark, Robert Clark, Kathy Ann Clark, Russell Clark, Sandra Chrispell, Garry Norton and former husband Joe Bandhold. Several other cousins also survive Sharon.

She is predeceased by her parents Raymond J. Barten and Doris A. Barten, her sister Linda L. Odle, and her cousin William J. Norton, Jr..

There will be no public calling hours or funeral service. A celebration of life will be held privately with the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Save the Children Fund - www.savethechildren.org.
