Shirley Darrah, age 94 of Military Turnpike died Thursday December 11, 2025. She was able to die peacefully at home under the care of her children.
She was born in Plattsburgh, March 7, 1931, the daughter of the late Ernest Rock and Violet Rock Goodman.
Mrs. Darrah drove a school bus for the Beekmantown Central School for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle, bowling and comping.
She is survived by her three daughters - Deborah (Robert) Hare of Madison, Kansas. Sharon (Michael) St. Louis of Lake Placid and Jill (George) Dow of Keeseville and one son, Scott (Del) Darrah of Morrisonville. She also had many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren. She was lucky enough to enjoy five generations in her family.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Ralph J. (Peanut) Darrah in 1997 and two sons - Ralph A. Darrah and David W. Darrah in 2024. She was the last living sibling in her family of five sisters and one brother and all of their spouses.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 5pm to 7pm at Brown Funeral Home.
