Shirley E. Caron

Shirley E. Caron passed away peacefully at Meadowbrook Healthcare on September 13, 2025. She was 90 years old. She was born on March 11th, 1935 in Jericho, New York, the daughter of Clifford J. Ducatte and Ethel E. (Trombley) Ducatte.

Shirley was a graduate of D'Youville Academy. She was employed for thirty years by New York Telephone Company

Shirley was a member of St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh where she actively volunteered. She enjoyed golf, dining out and spending her winters in Vero Beach, Florida.

She is survived by her sons, Gregory Caron and his wife Sandy, Eric Caron and his wife Jeanne; grandchildren, Nick, Tucker and Robbie Caron, Amy Pryel, Bryan Caron and his wife Emily, Alex Caron Hunter and Addison Caron; great grandchildren, Madison, Hayden, Taylor, Cooper, Nora, and Claire Caron, Jacob and Luke Pyrel; daughter-in-law Terry Caron and Anne Cross; brothers, Steve Ducatte and his wife Beth, Gereld Ducatte and his wife Beverly and sister-in-law Faith Ducatte.

She is predeceased by her husband, Aime P. Caron on October 6, 1992, her son, Daniel Caron, sister Nancy Hobbs, brother Raymond Ducatte, great grandson Jansen Lalone, her second husband, Walter Chenier in 2006 and her parents.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter's Church on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. Inurnment will follow at St. Alexander's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elmore SPCA.
