Tammy A Collins

January 25, 1963 — April 30, 2020

Tammy A. Collins, 57, of Beekmantown, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2020 at her home. She was born in Plattsburgh, on January 25, 1963, the daughter of Richard and Ruth (Desotell) Clukey.
Tammy was a true homemaker and free spirit. She was the collector and protector of the broken souls, the black sheep, orphans, and neglected animals. In her early life, Tammy was a traveling baker and a cook. She lived all over the U.S. "making the donuts" and feeding those in need. When the time was right, she settled back in Plattsburgh and became a devoted mother to her two children. She enjoyed hosting gatherings around the bonfire and creating plus-size hippy clothing. She had a green thumb, and was never afraid of getting dirt under her nails. She loved mapping out the flower beds and cooking with the vegetables from her garden. As she grew older, she used her own tough life experiences to help others overcome their own. Her greatest joy in her life was caring for her grandson daily. She cherished the year she had to feed, cuddle, sing, play and share ice cream with him. Her favorite title was "Jack's Nana".
She is predeceased by her sister-in-law, Amy Desrochers; and several lifelong friends whom she cared for until their last breath.
She is survived by her parents, her children; LilyAnne Styles and her companion Stephen, Jimmy Styles, her grandson Jackson, her siblings; Richard Clukey, Edward Clukey and his wife Rosamaria, Carol Del Grosso and her husband Wayne, her nieces and nephews; Ricky, Regina, Ed, Alex, Christopher, Katie, Emily, Jacob and Amanda.
Due to the current pandemic, services will be held privately for the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, NY 12901. Online condolences may be offered at www.brownfuneralhomeinc.com.
