Terese M Cronin

Cronin, Terese M. Plattsburgh, 89, died on Thursday, December 17, 2015, at Meadowbrook Healthcare after a long illness. Born on April 7, 1926, in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Willard) Cronin. She attended Sacred Heart School in Cohoes, and graduated from Catholic Central in Troy in 1944. Terese graduated from Troy Secretarial School in 1945. As a typist/secretary for over three decades, she had several employers, including SUNY Plattsburgh, NY Telephone, the Town of Schuyler Falls, and retired from Clinton Community College. After retirement she volunteered her time reading to school children at Oak Street Elementary School and served with the Literacy Volunteers of Clinton County. Terese is survived by her 6 children. Daughters, Daryl Cosgro of Plattsburgh, and Liane (Bill) Donohue of Camillus, NY. Sons; Donald Cosgro (Judy) Plattsburgh, Daniel Cosgro (Charlene) of Bend, OR, Kevin Cosgro (Sarah) of Cliff Haven, and Timothy Cosgro (Colleen) of Babylon, NY., and granddaughters; Shannon Donohue, Maureen Mossotti, Amanda Earnshaw, Alexa & Katelyn Cosgro, grandson's Michael Donohue, Justin, Jared, Tom, Ryan, and Sean Cosgro and 3 great grandchildren, Braden and Madeline Earnshaw and Emerson Mossotti, as well as several nieces and nephews. She predeceased by brother, Willard, and sisters, Harriet Cronin, and Connie Brady. The family would like to thank the staff of Meadowbrook Healthcare for their care and concern of our mother, during her illness. Public calling hours are from 5-7 P. M. on Monday, December 21, at Brown Funeral Home. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be alongside of her parents at Saint Alphonsus Cemetery, in Queensbury, NY, on Tuesday, December 22.
