Vernice M. Sorrell, 98, of Plattsburgh, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at the Clinton County Nursing Home with her loving granddaughter by her side. She was born Sunday, March 13th, 1927, the daughter of Frank Stone and Mabel Stone.
Vernice loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Ronald Sorrell, Norman Sorrell, Theresa Rinn, Joan Liberty and her husband George, Larry Sorrell and Rowland Sorrell and his wife Tina; 16 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren; her sisters, Malina Perry, Dorothy LaMere and Shirley LaMere.
She is predeceased by her husband, Louis Sorrell, her parents, several brothers and sisters and in-laws.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at Brown Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Holy Angels Cemetery in Altona, New York.
