Plattsburgh Vivian A. Hackett, 90, of Kennedy Avenue, Plattsburgh, New York passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at her home. She was born in Saranac, New York on December 25, 1921 the daughter of Charles and Mary (King) Hackett. Vivian retired from the Clinton County Sheriff's Department after twenty years of service. She was an avid New York Yankees fan. Vivian loved her home and was proud of it. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Vivian was independent and was a devout member of St. John's Church. Vivian was predeceased by her parents Charles and Mary Hackett, her brothers; Lawson, Edgar, Burton, Wilmer, Malcolm and Fay, her sisters Clayda Revoir, Verideth Tyndall, her twin sister Viola Duquette and Valerie Demo and her special friend Wilfred Gebo. She is survived by several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law James Demo and a special friend Tom McFadden and his family. Calling hours will be Monday, October 22, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Church. Interment will follow at St. Alexander's Cemetery. Friends wishing may make donations to St. John's Church.
