William Bela Kalman, 86, of Route 9, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the UVM Health Network-CVPH with family by his side. He is finally at peace. He was born in Hungary on September 29, 1935, the son of the late Gaspar and Anna (Kustra) Keckes.
Bela was an upholsterer for over 50 years retiring at 83. He loved to travel, listening to country music and Hungarian music. He was well known for his Hungarian noodles. He will be missed by all in the Phillippines, Hungary, Quebec and locally who knew him. He was kind and gentle soul who changed a lot of peoples lives.
He is survived by his wife Clarissa (Reyes) Kalman, his children ; Robert, Christine, Maryann, Heidi, Emily and Annissa Kalman, his brother Paul, his mother in law; Rosario, his grandchildren, great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and family in Hungary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 1:30 pm at St. Peter’s Church.
